If You Had to Choose… Family or GOD?

Many people believe in Jesus, even satan himself believes in Jesus. It’s safe to say that some people may believe in the Lord but not all will inherit the kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 7:21). Let me ask you one important question, why do you believe in Jesus? What made you believe in Him in the first place?

Godfirstbro

Now the whole topic here is “Jesus or Family”. Many people believe in Jesus because they want to be together with their family in Heaven. This is true, and trust me this will happen. It’s part of God’s plan. But when you ask them, “who would you choose, Jesus or your family?” Who would you think they’d choose? Who would you choose?

Well, think about this, what if your wife leaves you? or what if your child dies one day?

What if, everybody turned their back on you, even your loved ones? then what?

Who would you turn to then?

I’ll tell you one thing, the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Deu. 31:6). But now you’re angry at God, “why did you take my son?!” or “Why did you allow my husband to leave me, God?”

Remember that God is a Jealous God filled with love-driven jealousy. He knows you love your family dearly (and so does He)… but the Lord also knows if they’re preventing you from finding the real reason why Jesus, His son, died on the cross for our sins. Maybe the only way for you to really move on, is for God to take someone away from your life and bring in someone new. The God who opens doors also closes them, but trust me when I say, He has a very good reason to. He has a plan. Something far GREATER will come your way. Just trust in Him.

Also remember that your wife, your husband, your children, your siblings, your grandparents, and loved ones here on earth AREN’T GOD. They do not hold the key to Heaven. Jesus does. Your family NEEDS SALVATION just as much as you do. Remember that Jesus is the bread of life (John 6:35). We have to eat His bread and drink His blood BY FAITH (not literally eat Jesus) and eating is a personal thing, right? You can’t let somebody else eat your food and have YOU benefit from it!

Salvation is a personal thing. You can’t let someone believe in Jesus for you to inherit His kingdom.

If your whole purpose for believing God is for your family, then what about you? Lets say your whole family is saved, that’s wonderful! But what about YOU? God cares about each and every one of us. And I know its not really good to compare… but if you had to choose, who would you run to?

Your family… or GOD?

HALT! : The answer is God 😀 “As for me and my house, we’re gonna serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15) not the other way around. GOD IS YOUR FIRST PRIORITY.

Childlike Faith || Do You Want to See Jesus?

April 7 2014

I do not own this picture

One night I asked my little sister who lay with me in bed, “Gab, do you want to know my crush?” she turned to me with an innocent smile plastered on her face,

“Who?” she asked,
“Jesus.”

She scrunched her nose “But how can you marry Jesus?  How can you kiss Jesus? You can’t even see Him…”

At that moment, I started to cry. It was dark so she couldn’t see me. O how I longed to see the face of my Savior. How I longed to hug Him. I asked God, “When?”… after I had stopped crying, I decided to ask my sister again,

“Gab, do you want to know my crush?”
“Who?”
“Jesus.”

She started to repeat her rant “But how can you marry Jesus? How can you kiss Jesus? How can you hug Him?…”

“Do you want to see Jesus?” I asked my little sister, she smiled and nodded “Yes!”
I want to see Jesus, I want to hug Him and lie down on Him… I want to see Jesus when I go there in Heaven.”
“Someday, Gab, we will see Him. When its time. When its the right time.” I whispered to her,
“When is the right time?”
“Only Jesus knows..”

She closed her eyes and fell asleep. And I lay awake… what wonderful faith my sister has. ^_^ Be not childish, but be child-like in your faith towards our Father in Heaven…

So do not lose hope and faith, trust in the Lord. Live for Him until you see Him face to face, live to love Him, live to glorify Him… God bless!

That’s What It Says!

That’s What It Says!. – Re-blog from “Morning Thought”

lake of fireMatt 5:30 – It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Last night Haylee & Braeden took turns reading from Matthew chapter 5.
Braeden ended up with 5:27-30. When he reached the end and read the word “hell” I looked at him and said, “That doesn’t sound good!”

Braeden pointed at the word and excitedly said, “That’s what it says!!”

Exactly! It’s what it says!

Despite how many people don’t believe that a loving God would let anyone go to hell or a lake of fire, it is taught in the Bible.

It is true that God is love (1 John 4:16) but it is also true that the Lord says, “They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols.” Deut 32:21

Sin is punishable by death but God has provided a way for each person through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. (Rom 6:23)

God doesn’t want anyone to perish in hell. He prefers that all repent and receive His grace, forgiveness, love, and eternal life. (2 Pet 3:9)

Abba Father, I praise You for Your word that warns of eternal punishment. I praise You for the same word that offers salvation to everyone.
Remind me often of my responsibility to share both with others!
In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN

Will Animals go to Heaven?

Now this topic was really hard for me to grasp in as a Christian. I love animals. They are my second love, music first, writing third. But now that I know about Jesus and His unconditional love for us, He became my first love- though that is kind of impossible since music was my first love- but you see? nothing is impossible with God. See what I did there? *wink wink*

Anyway, the question “Will Animals go to Heaven?” first began when my beloved rabbit, Maggie, died. She was very precious to me and for me to see her dead was horrible.

Maggie

My precious Maggie

I have asked these questions to my parents, friends, (I haven’t asked my Pastor yet) etc. and most of them answered “no” or “I don’t know” not one answered “yes”, so I was quite disappointed. I felt the same way (disappointed) when I heard that when we are in heaven, we wouldn’t see each other the same way again or feel the same feelings as we did on earth- whether we were in love, enemies, yada yada- we won’t feel the same way, but that doesn’t mean we would forget our feelings, but rather, think of each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

At first, I was a little bummed. I wouldn’t want to lose the lovely feeling I would have if I had a husband, or see my parents as my siblings- it was a disturbing thought at first- but then, think of it this way… the only reason why we could lose these feelings in heaven is because, there is someone better. And that is God. Could you imagine? How powerful, beautiful, majestic, indescribable, God is? to be able to see your husband, your friends, your children, (etc.) as brothers and sisters? That’s incredible to me.

But I’m getting out of topic here (it happens all the time- so expect me to be typing about how I was supposed to be doing the laundry when the title is “About dogs”), the question is ‘Will Animals go to Heaven’?

The Bible indicates that animals will exist after His return and the beginning of the Kingdom as Isaiah 11:6-9 reads, “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”  Here is the Word of God declaring that animals will still exist in the future, after Christ’s reign begins. Ecclesiastes mentions that there is a “spirit” in man but also in animals in (3:19, 21) but this does not necessarily mean that it is an eternal spirit.

Revelation 19:11-14 indicates, for example, that Jesus returns to the earth with His army of saints on white horses, “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.”

“A more important question is if you, the reader, will be in heaven.  It is pointless to ponder the question of whether your pet goes to heaven if you yourself are not there. – Jack Wellman”

In my research, it is said that ‘nobody‘ knows whether or not animals will be in heaven. We could only find out, if we see for ourselves. I agree that it might worry you a little, that is- until I read this:

The elderly widow whose beloved little dog died after fifteen faithful years. Distraught, she went to her pastor.

“Parson,” she said, tears streaming down her cheeks, “the vicar said animals have no souls. My darling little dog Fluffy has died. Does that mean I won’t see her again in heaven?”

“Madam,” said the old priest, “God, in His great love and wisdom has created heaven to be a place of perfect happiness. I am sure that if you need your little dog to complete your happiness, you will find her there.”

…………………………………..

But I doubt we would even remember our pets once we see our Father in heaven, I’m kind of jealous with Moses, that He was able to see God’s mighty power and beauty. Isn’t it cool though? The bible said that His head and hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

That must’ve been a/an- adjective- sight. Indescribable.

My name is Ajee.

I am an anti social person.

I have no friends. Literally, no friends.

Nobody would talk to me,

Or maybe, I’m just invisible.

I’ve been invisible for years, or at least, I thought so.

One day, a young boy said ‘Hi’

Of course he wasn’t talking to me… he couldn’t have.

But then he said my name. Ajee.

Then I knew.

He became my best friend for years. He was nice.

He taught me about God.

He taught me about Life.

He taught me a lot of things, even though I was older than him.

He changed me…

One day, I found out he had cancer and only has a few days to live.

I cried.

and cried.

and cried.

I was angry with God.

I was angry with everything.

Everything was unfair.

Until, my friend died.

We were at the hospital.

We were holding hands.

He told me “Do not lose faith, Ajee…”

“The Lord has a plan.”

I just nodded, playing with his hair.

He smiled and breathe his last breath.

“I see the light…” He whispered

I smiled, my cheeks drenched with tears.

I knew then.

He is safe.

He is safe with God.

In His arms.

I am Loved.

This is something I have written while I was in the bus, since I wasn’t aloud to use the internet, I became depressed and couldn’t wait any longer 😀

I am Loved. ❤

I could hear voices, but at that time I didn’t know what they were.
I couldn’t see, but I could cry, so I cried.
Not because of my blindness, but because of all the commotion.

Suddenly I felt myself being carried and a soothing voice reached my ears, “We’ve been waiting for you” a deep voice said
I felt calm and stopped crying, I felt at home. I then fell into a dreamless sleep.

When I woke up, I was finally able to open my eyes and see, but I wasn’t happy because I could see,
I was happy to see two, calm eyes looking down at me.

The Person has a curly, brown hair and dark, brown eyes. She had a smile that reached her eyes, which were flowing with tears, happy tears maybe.
She wasn’t alone though, there was another person with the same facial expression that had a smile reaching his eyes and tears threatening to flow.

They both made funny faces which made me smile, I could say it was my first smile that day.

They played with me, fed me, slept with me. You could tell I was happy.

We did have those ‘times’ though, I found it hard to deal with, I didn’t know what was happening or what so ever, so I just cry, it’s all I ever do anyways, Eat. Poop. Cry. Eat. Poop. Cry. Eat. Poop. CRY! But those very two people made me feel like I was more than that.

Time flies so fast though, I am now a teenager, I now have a little sister and I am not going to expect another sibling since she is already hard to handle (If you know what I mean). My parents still love me and my sister equally. We still had our conflicts, but those are normal and part of life I suppose.

I learned there was a God who loves me like no one else could, that He sacrificed for our sins…

But this is just the beginning of my life, after I had smiled my first smile, I had smiled ever since.

It’s nice to know that someone loves you, no matter what happens.

Are there Animals in Heaven?

(Genesis 2:7) Animals have the same “breath of life” as do humans

I believe that there are animals in heaven, I’m just not sure If I will be reunited with my rabbit Maggie 😦

Animals breathe, they have feelings, they feel.

 Lorikeet ❤

Birds are one of my favorite animals, they are very special to me. The Lord made them so very unique.

Here’s a short poem/rhyme I made for birds:

Some  birds can talk and some birds can sing. Some birds are small and some with long wings. Some can fly and some can run. Some are dull and some are fun. Don’t you think their so unique? Very special, God’s masterpiece.

Animals are very good helpers too, very good therapists 🙂 They help the blind who can’t see and make the sad, smile happily (In the mood to rhyme).

I am desperate to have a pet bird right now 😀 What do you think?
