Suicide, Cutting, & Hurt || STOP!

1 Corinthians 6:20
For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Had a nightmare last night of a friend who sought for attention, she had scars on her wrists due to cutting. “Don’t you notice?” she cried.

So I just wanted to remind my peeps, you were bought with a price… maybe you’d say “Well I didn’t even ask to be bought” or “I’m too expensive, sorry”, my reply is, the Lord loves you and if He didn’t give His son Jesus to save you, well, you’d know where you’d be. Blunt truth guys. We don’t know how many kids and teens are considering suicide or other wrong decisions, but just so you know, somebody DOES care for you and LOVE you. Don’t destroy your body just because you feel emotionally broken. THE LORD IS NEAR THE BROKENHEARTED AND SAVES THE CRUSHED IN SPIRIT. (Psalm 34:18) Don’t even think about it. You think it will benefit others thinking that if you’re gone maybe they would live happier lives. WRONG! It’s a selfish thought to cut or hurt yourself. Don’t drown yourselves in thoughts like these, instead dive into God’s holy spirit and embrace His love. It’ll change you forever. A BIG, powerful, majestic, and holy God LOVES you and gave His only son to die for junk? I think not. He came to die for something worth dying for… am I right, or am I right?

If you’re considering to commit suicide or have a friend who is thinking of doing so, we’re praying for you. We, the church, might not know your name or where you are right now or what you’re feeling, but GOD KNOWS…

And here’s a good movie to watch: “To Save A Life”

What’s the point of all this, if you’re not gonna let this change you?

That’s all. ^_^ God bless!

We had a simple gathering with the Pastor and a few church mates at this cool pizza restaurant. It was such a nice and warm (well in reality it was really cold, but I what I meant was that I felt warm) outing. I had this delicious plate filled with pizza, a cool ice tea drink, and a wonderful book to read (special thanks to my Aunt Yen). The title of this book is “A Prisoner And Yet…” and in the back it is written “A Mighty Fortress”.

image

It’s a true story of this woman named Corrie ten Boom who experienced pain, hunger, harassment, humiliation… and yet, even imprisoned and treated in the most horrible way, she felt peaceand freedom. Just by knowing that the Lord is by her side, calmness surrounds her. Remembering how much Jesus suffered for the world. Nothing could compare. This book is simply beautiful, true, and uplifting. I recommend all of you to read this wonderful book! and if you want, you could add a touch of pizza and buffalo wings. :)

The Big Black Moth || Fear

The big black moth and me. Me holding a food cover as my shield and a tennis racket as my weapon. My sister was in my room asking me if I killed it yet. Unfortunately, I’m not the killing type. Poor moth has a life to live, a purpose, going into other people’s house and scaring the poop out of them… to help them fight their fears of course! It’s a silly thought, but it makes sense.

In the process of waiting and thinking and staring at this ‘enormous little’ moth, a still small voice told me “Do not fear, for the Lord is with you” and I kept repeating this to myself, telling the Lord “Okay okay, I’ll do it” but the more I get closer to the moth, the more I see how big and scary it is. I backed out and apologize to God for the lack of trust. “Why does it have to be so big?” I whined.

The Lord was testing my faith, and I knew that- but I was just focused on the moth. Man, that’s one huge fly. Anyway, I think God knew that I wouldn’t be able to trap the moth so He brought daddy home just in time. And you know what? He calmly took a small plastic bottle, cut it into half and trapped the moth, covering the bottle with paper, opening the window, and setting it free. It was that simple. For dad, the big black moth was simply nothing more than a small black fly.

Dad was aware of it’s size, he must have been scared at some point. But somehow he knew that it had to get out of this house and flee. As I pondered on this little incident, the big black moth resembled fear. Who of you have big black moths in your life? and how did you conquer it? or are you yet to…?

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

I know I haven’t been posting lately, its either the laziness or the busyness. Either way, I felt the need to at least say MERRY CHRISTMAS! ❤ There are lots of mix emotions on this time of the year. Sadness, for one isn’t able to celebrate with their family, stress from lots of work, depression, gloominess, etc,.  If you are also feeling this way, I want to you to set all your problems aside, give it all to God, and lend to Him at least a little of the time you have left.

And the BEST gift God has ever given us, was and is Salvation. And He did that by giving His one and only begotten Son to die on the cross to deliver us from are sins. That’s ONE of God’s best gifts ❤ and since it is a gift, you do not have to work hard to get it, all you have to do is to ACCEPT it. Jesus’ death on the cross was our bridge to heaven. You might ask, then why isn’t there another way for us to go to heaven? instead of letting Christ suffer…

We’ll discuss about this another time 🙂 Also, get ready for a new segment “Questions for Christ” that I will be doing after my exams are done! :’) Excited!

– Is There Another Way to Go to Heaven? Other than Christ Dying?

Typing My Thoughts Out loud #1

Even as a Christian, there are still thousands questions that are left unanswered- but sometimes, it’s best if they were. Though I may not understand much about God, I still believe in Him. Lots of people may ask why and I guess I’m not too sure myself . I’m not the most intelligent person in the world- which is kind of a good thing because intelligent people think a lot and I mean- A LOT and I think that, that leads them to question God(?) about a lot of things, things that if unanswered would lead them not to believe (?). I don’t know. But a lot of famous scientists are very religious and I doubt that they- maybe? I don’t know- I’m just typing my thoughts out loud that I’m not even sure what to think. I mean, I can’t judge a person, I don’t know what they’ve been through or anything. Anyway, let me get straight to the point… what leads Christians to believe in God?

1 Peter 1:8
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

In my experience, I don’t even remember the first time I accepted God as my Lord and Savior, it just went along as I grew with Him in my heart. And I love my relationship with God. I believe in Him, I believe in heaven and in hell, I believe in the unseen God, I believe in love, and man! This might turn out as a credo- but seriously, what makes us believe in Him in the first place?

This is a mystery that I don’t mind having no answer to, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask would it?

Thank you so much! God bless ya’ll! ❤

I Bought Baby Gray a Harness!

Last night, I bought baby Gray a small black (white spotted) harness so I would be able to walk around, ‘safely’ in the garden since we haven’t been able to bunny proof it yet. And let me tell you, this baby rabbit is SUPER patient. If I had done this to Maggie she would’ve scratched my eyes off. Surprisingly! He hasn’t bitten me yet (which I was expecting) especially from trying to carry him and put this and that. Yes, it was quite stressful (and he disliked the harness, but happily tolerated it, so that means I didn’t waste money)

It is NOT this, but it looks like it.

It is NOT this, but it looks like it.

Apparently, the harness was too big! Especially around the neck area, so I had to adjust it THREE times (which is a nightmare since I have to put it back on Gray). But after an hour or two, I finally got the right size. So I put it [harness] on the bunny (who was being very obedient) and clipped an ID [stuff that you put around your neck- forgot what it’s called], attached to a pink, long, and silky fabric as a temporary lead. I know, cheap, but who wants something expensive?

I was finally able to walk him around the house and he was a pretty quick hopper, so I had to run with him. The good thing is, I’m actually working out! But then, momma woke up from her beauty sleep and told me to walk Gray outside (she didn’t want him pooping around the house). So I took him outside, but it was quite warm and humid (to the point where I started sweating like a pig). At first, Grayham was a bit scared to go- but after awhile, he finally went. I don’t think he had much fun as he did indoors for it was really really hot- I mean, who would? Unless they like sweating.

I got a bit worried because rabbits could die from heatstroke (that’s how Maggie died), so after 10 minutes of running around the garden I carried him back to his cage (he didn’t want to- but I don’t think he knows when to stop). And guess what? When I put him in his cage, he immediately did a little flop, like being in his cage was the best thing ever. Haha cute lil’ Gray.

Grayham~

Grayham~

Though it was cute seeing him lie down like that, I had to remove the uncomfortable harness that lay around his body. And when I placed him back on his cage and petted him, he did another flop (showing his stomach). ADORABLE!

It’s good to know that Gray doesn’t hold any grudges. Such a patient and lovely rabbit. God bless ya’ll and I hope you guys have a great day!

Bible Verse of the Week || Envy.

I do not own this photo

en·vy

/ˈenvē/
Noun
A feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities, or luck.

Today, our topic is about “Envy”. Don’t say you haven’t been jealous before, everybody gets jealous in one point of time in their lives. I get jealous of my younger sister at times and sometimes too jealous that it brought hatred to my heart. That’s the dangerous part. You could say that, the worst enemy of friendship is ENVY.

1.) Is there something that could, I don’t know… overpower jealousy?

Yes, and that is…LOVE.

2.) What is envy, to be exact?

Envy is resenting God’s goodness to others and ignoring God’s goodness to me.

Where there is envy, you find every kind of evil (James 3:16)

ANTIDOTES FOR ENVY

The last will be first and the first will be last (Matthew 20:1-16)

1. Stop comparing yourself to others.
Reasons not to compare:

a. You (we) are unique.

b. Leads to pride and envy.

I am unique (Psalm 139:14)

2. Start enjoying God’s grace to others.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15)

3. Be grateful for what you have.

– Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless- Like chasing the wind  (Ecclesiastes 6:9)

4. STOP comparing; STOP competing.

5. Trust God when life seems unfair.

BOTTOM LINE IS:

When you’re envious, you’re in a battle with God, you accuse Him for being unfair.

– When you’re busy serving, you don’t have time for envy.

If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over (Matthew 18: 15)

What Animal am I? [Poems]

This is a little game I made, where you guys will guess what animal the short poem/rhyme is describing. Good luck! 😀

1) Her song is a dance, with a rythym and a beat.
She sways with the waves as the tiny fishes fleet.
Fluid is her movement, quite stunning they all say,
A Little lad even said that it could take your breath away.

2) I hide in the bushes, I dig on your backyard.
I turn into a ball when I am scared or is on guard.
I hiss when you come near, be careful I might bite!
I have quills that are sharp, beware, I’m not afraid to fight!

3) No this guy doesn’t squawk, nor does he even chirp.
He swims around with fins and his colors are superb.
He’s got this pretty hard beak, yeah he got a painful bite,
Don’t be deceived by his beauty, quite ironic alright.

Hello, My Name Is…

Hello! Heard this song from a friend and just wanted to share it 🙂 It has a very strong message and to those who feels like they are meaningless and unwanted.

You are the Child of the One true King.

And you should never forget that…

Lyrics:

Hello, my name is regret
I’m pretty sure we have met
Every single day of your life
I’m the whisper inside
That won’t let you forget
Hello, my name is defeat
I know you recognize me
Just when you think you can win
I’ll drag you right back down again
‘Til you’ve lost all belief
These are the voices, these are the lies
And I have believed them, for the very last time
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, and I have been set free
“Amazing Grace” is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I am no longer defined
By all the wreckage behind
The one who makes all things new
Has proven it’s true
Just take a look at my life
What love the Father has lavished upon us
That we should be called His children
I am a child of the one true King
